Following the development of several successful businesses across the USA, entrepreneurs Daniel Honig and Michael McIntyre chose Atlanta, Georgia, as home to their next bright ideas.

The city has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, thanks to brands such as Coca-Cola, Tyler Perry Studios, One Trust, and Mailchimp, all making their mark there.

Having identified eight substantial business opportunities, the pair selected their two most progressive ideas: Move Favor and Junk Favor.

Solution

Creating two unique creative solutions

Move Favor is often described as “Uber for trucks,” and importantly, it allows Favor to give something back to their local community by helping the city’s large student population grow their own businesses. The solution’s goal is to connect those with driving licenses but no vehicles with owners of idle trucks to rent the vehicles they need to start providing services to customers in their area.

Junk Favor, on the other hand, is all about providing customers with garbage collection from their doorstep - as and when they need it. In the UK, for example, there are no platforms for junk collection and disposal - resulting in homeowners needing to take rubbish to the dump themselves. Favor Holdings’ doorstep collection initiative provides customers with an alternative, paid-for service designed to save time and hassle.

Right Partner

Finding a partner proven in the fleet industries

Favor Holdings recognized that transforming these visions into realities would only be possible with a flexible partner with proven success in the fleet industries.

That’s when they discovered AllRide Logistics. Its AI-powered fleet management and distribution system connects trucks, suppliers, and customers quicker and easier than ever before - backed by a team with more than 11 years of experience.

AllRide’s scalable dispatch and delivery solutions allow businesses to automate processes and introduce greater operational flexibility. Typically, these boost client profits by 50% while enhancing service accuracy and timeliness.

Creating competitive advantages and seamless experiences

While the two applications utilize AllRide Logistics, they stand out from each other (as well as the competition). Each has been fully customized to provide a perfect fit for its distinct audience: delivering users the functions they need to get the job done.

AllRide looked to other market players within the on-demand truck and delivery booking sector to achieve this. Analyzing competitors’ offerings, business models, and apps offered a deeper understanding of user experiences.

AllRide Logistics’ outstanding capabilities ensured they could deliver better. Its online booking, integration with more than 100 systems, multi-language support, developers API, and AI-based smart features offered a perfect fit for each custom solution.

Achievement

Achieving pinpoint location and pricing accuracy - in two different ways

In any fleet management application, the accuracy of location information is vital. Without this, it would be impossible to calculate distances and, most importantly, pricing.

AllRide’s platform solves this by using a specific algorithm that measures the vehicle’s capacity for pinpoint accuracy every time.

The Junk Favor app, however, does not feature a drop location as the business’ vehicles return collected ‘junk’ to their own location. This created issues for the system when it came to calculating pricing. Thanks to the AllRide team's expert understanding of the application and the business goals, they were able to develop an innovative solution.

As a result, the Junk Favor app utilizes a customized algorithm that accounts for the variables needed (distance, vehicle capacity, loading and unloading charges) to deliver the accurate pricing needed to work profitably.

Deploying a proven process to meet business and user goals

Based on its experience, AllRide Logistics mapped out a proven development plan for each app.
Ongoing marketing analysis - throughout the development process - ensured the project’s relevance as well as currency within the marketplace. It also helped the team identify “user delights,” those special features that keep users returning.

Once finalized, the application was sent to AllRide’s team of experienced testers. This final stage was critical to each project’s success - ensuring that the “user delights” incorporated within the solution worked successfully.

Introducing the user-friendly features that users keep coming back for

AllRide created an architecture around Favor Holdings and the needs of its end users - suppliers and customers alike.

Users of the apps have access to

  • details of shipments - such as pick up and drop off locations,
  • summaries of their orders.

Significantly, both applications benefit from AllRide’s e-commerce system. Users are offered a choice of multiple payment options to meet their needs, including credit cards, debit cards, and UPI.
